Situated in the heart of Nelson's apple growing area, Atholwood is ideally placed for guests to take advantage of the outdoor lifestyles and sights of one of New Zealand's most beautiful provinces.

With the tall, often snow-capped Richmond ranges as its backdrop, relax and enjoy the peace and total privacy of the setting. Within the gardens are a swimming pool on the shoreline, a spa pool close to the house, a croquet lawn, hidden garden pathways and a gazebo from which you can enjoy the outlook over the estuary.

Seclusion...
High ceilings, spacious view decks and an interior decor of New Zealand Rimu add to the casual country atmosphere of the home. Tastefully appointed guest rooms, each with adjoining ensuites, have views from every window. A private decked lounge within the guest wing ensures you of your own space and privacy.

Breakfast at Atholwood can be as simple or elaborate as your appetite requires, at serving times best suited to your personal timetable. For a wholesome start to your day's activities, choose from an array of tasty breakfast offereings, including homemade toasted museli, Italian breads, waffles, yoghurt, locally grown fruits, freshly brewed coffee and herbal or black teas.

Lunches and dinners are catered for by special arrangement with Robyn and Grahame. Quality local wines and beers are available. For your evening meal, your hosts can provide a courtesy car, if required, to take you to one of the many fine restaurants in the Nelson region.
